Like many Poms, he’s alert, clever, and emotionally sensitive. He thrives on structure and routine, and when he trusts his person, he bonds deeply. His ideal home will help him feel safe, understood, and respected. Sunny’s Story & Personality: Sunny is truly a ray of light—when he twirls with excitement, you can’t help but smile. But like many dogs who have had a rough start, he’s also cautious and needs his space respected. He’s loving, but on his own terms, and he’s learning what it means to feel safe. In a previous home, even with a kind caregiver, his territorial and resource-guarding behaviors intensified, especially around toys, food, and people he becomes attached to. Sunny does best as the only dog in the home. He may bark or lunge at other dogs on walks, so a confident, experienced handler and continued training are a must.
