My story

Hickory is a sweet and soulful 7-year-old stray who’s been patiently waiting for his forever home. This handsome guy has quickly become a favorite at the shelter thanks to his calm demeanor, gentle eyes, and excellent kennel manners—he keeps his space clean overnight like a true gentleman! Hickory loves his daily walks with our volunteers and goes to playgroups with other dogs. He’s already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines—ready to head home with someone who will give him the love and comfort he’s been missing. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and great manners, Hickory may be the perfect match. Come meet him and let him charm his way into your heart!Hickory was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Hickory was great, he was perfect! Went for a walk and was amazing on leash. He never jumped, and he never barked either. It seems the way to Hickory’s heart is tennis balls! He chose a ball over a new bone every time! This man could probably play fetch for hours and be in heaven! He even knows his commands- sit, lay down, drop. Hickory also did well around children and let them pet his back.
