My story

What a character! Here at FAS, Monkey has impressed us with his world-class zoomies and penchant for talking to birds outside the window. Prone to intense, often entertaining, bursts of activity, he also enjoys major lounge time, and sometimes switches between the two modes with amazing speed! When ready for attention, Monkey isn't shy about asking for it, whether by hopping on a lap or gently tapping you with his paw. And when he needs some personal space, he will let you know that, as well. Like many of us humans, Monkey has his boundaries and his moods. His perfect adopter will appreciate that slightly fickle streak in a feline - and understand that Monkey choosing to sprawl out near someone is a demonstration of his trust and affection, just as a more cuddle-intensive approach may be for another kitty. And, like anyone intensely absorbed in something, a Monkey in full birdwatching mode is a Monkey best left to enjoy his Cat TV in peace. :) Monkey's been adopted and returned to the shelter a few times now for being, well...Monkey, so we wanna make sure we're being clear--he can be a punk. He's super fun, too, but you gotta like a cat with some 'tude. At this time, Monkey is available to a home without children, and we believe he'll adjust most successfully in a household where he's the only pet. Primary Color: Grey Tabby Weight: 12 Age: 2yrs 3mths 4wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Monkey, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
