Meet Melody – A Sweet Soul Ready for a Fresh Start Breed: Pit Bull MixAge: 8 monthsGood with Dogs | Vaccinated | Available for Foster-to-AdoptMelody is a tender-hearted, 8-month-old pit bull mix who is learning to trust the world again. She and her sister were sadly abandoned by their previous owners, but despite that rocky start, Melody has held on to her kind and gentle spirit.Shy at first, Melody needs a patient and loving home where she can blossom at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she shows her sweet and affectionate nature, and you`ll quickly see the love she`s been waiting to share. She`s the kind of pup who will reward your care with quiet loyalty and deep, lasting bonds.Melody is great with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a calm, friendly canine companion to show her the ropes. If you already have a dog, we ask that you bring them for a meet-and-greet to ensure everyone gets along before taking this beautiful girl home.Though we aren’t sure how she is with cats, we believe Melody could do well in a home with felines given a slow, supervised introduction.Melody is up-to-date on all her vaccines and will be available for foster-to-adopt until her scheduled spay appointment with Animal Control. During that time, she’ll benefit most from a calm environment filled with kindness, patience, and consistency.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $100
