My story

Meet Simba – Spirited, Sweet, and Full of Joy Simba is a three-year-old pup with the heart and energy of a much younger dog. Don’t let his small stature fool you—this compact dynamo is always ready for action. Whether he’s chasing toys, zooming around the yard, or heading out for a walk, Simba is happiest when he’s on the move. He thrives with structure and would do best in a home with a playful dog companion and a secure backyard where he can run to his heart’s content. Affectionate and social, Simba adores people—especially kids—and is sweet and gentle once he gets a moment to say hello. That said, he can be overenthusiastic during introductions, and because of his instinct to chase anything that moves (bikes, squirrels, even running children), a home with older kids may be a better match for his playful energy. On leash, Simba generally walks beautifully by your side, but he’ll need a handler ready to anticipate and redirect his sudden bursts of excitement. He’s clearly had some training and responds well to gentle correction and redirection. This toy-loving boy prefers balls, crinkle toys, and anything he can chase and fetch. Tug-of-war isn’t really his thing—he’s all about the chase. He’s currently not crated and does well free-roaming in the house, where he’s potty trained and respectful. His favorite way to rest? A full-body sploot that would require a longer kennel, should he ever need crating. Simba is food-motivated (especially when treats or wet food are involved), but always gentle when taking snacks. He’s not much of a barker, only reacting to major noises, and has excellent recall and responsiveness to correction. With continued training, an outlet for his energy, and a loving home, Simba will be a joyful, loyal, and endlessly entertaining companion. ##2404136##
