Introducing Hank!Hank showed up in a colony in Paterson with a massively swollen face. Luckily, the caretaker who had been feeding the cat colony noticed Hank's wounds. Hank was so friendly and social that the caretaker was able to grab him and put him right into a carrier to be brought to animal control. By the time we went to pick him up the following day, his abscess had ruptured, and poor Hank was a mess. Now, Hank looks like a completely different cat! His face has healed up nicely, and he is as loving and cuddly as ever. Hank loves to sit by the window and watch the birds, and he enjoys exploring and asking for pets whenever he can.Unfortunately, in addition to the abscess on his face and old wounds and scars all over his body, we discovered that Hank has some pretty significant kidney disease and is FIV (+), which means he could potentially be more susceptible to illnesses compared to the average cat. FIV is transmitted from cat to cat through deep bite wounds, so it is entirely safe for FIV-positive and negative cats to live together as long as they can coexist!Hank is currently in hospice and may have a shortened lifespan, but he is a complete sweetheart who would be great for any home if given the chance. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Age: 6yrs 1mths 0wks
