This one-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji mix weighs in at 30 lbs and has all the charm of a typical puppy — playful, affectionate, and eager to please. Riley is house-trained, crate-trained, and even doggy door-trained! He’s great with the four dogs in his foster home but would thrive best as the only dog or with a very well-matched companion, as he has shown occasional resource guarding. He hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, so slow and proper intros would be needed. He loves toys, fetch, and learning — he's already got the basics down and would benefit from continued training to polish his puppy manners. Riley can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up, he’s full of love and wiggles. He’s high-energy, smart, and best suited for an active home that can keep his curious mind and body engaged.
