My story

Hello! We’re Emi and Llewellyn, a bonded pair of affectionate, friendly kikis. We’ll occasionally play with our toys and catnip doesn’t do much for us. We’d rather receive affection from our person! We are cool with dogs and other cats so long as they are cool with us. We are indoor cats only. We love to cuddle and purr and we each have our own special way of showing affection. My name is Llewellyn! My favorite things to do are eat, cuddle, and nap. I have a beautiful voice and love to sing and trill, especially when I’m in a new place. I’m usually the more brave of the two of us and I help Emi acclimate to new places. If she’s being bullied by one of the other cats in the house, I stop what I’m doing and run to her defense! Nobody bullies my sister! I’m very food motivated and you can usually encourage me to do what you want with treats. I even know how to sit, stand, and kiss on command! When I want attention I like to flop dramatically on the ground. I love to purr even though it isn’t very loud. It’s more like a quiet rumble. Combine that with my love of cuddling, I’m a comfort master. A fair warning though: I was traumatized by a dog when I was a kitten and as a result, I occasionally bite. I’m not hard to discourage and my current person has gotten me to chill out a fair amount. I’m actually a very good learner and love to please my person. My name is Emi! I’m a manx and am very proud of my poof. I have a fair amount of energy and don’t like to nap as much as my brother. I’m also much better with self play. When I find something that excites me, I hop around like a bunny and it’s extremely cute! My purr is fairly loud, which makes up for the fact that I sometimes don’t like to cuddle as closely as Llewellyn does. I love watching what goes on outside and am fairly curious about new things. I’m good at communicating what I want and, as is common with the “dog-like” personality of my breed, I’m a pretty good listener and like to make my person happy. Sometimes I can be shy about new environments and other cats. It takes me a little bit of time to warm up, but once I do, I’m very courageous.A fair warning: I do have a heart murmur and need a medication. The medication is inexpensive and easy to administer, especially if I can have a treat after. We are a sweet and loving pair of cats that make a great addition to a home. We love to cuddle and comfort our human, perfect for after a long, busy day. Upon adoption you will receive an automatic feeder, puzzle feeder and a cat tree. Llewellyn and Emi are being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet these cats or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsMay 28, 2025, 4:41 pm
