My story

  Friendly 5-year-old Ethan adjusted instantly to life in his foster home, capturing everyone’s hearts with his loyalty and devotion. The 32-pound brown beauty, so sweet and so social, may just be the ultimate love bug because he not only LOVES cuddling and snuggling with his fosters, he loves every person he meets. And as much as Ethan enjoys engaging with other dogs of all sizes, he absolutely ADORES the resident cat! Highly and happily energetic, he thrives on activity, walks excellently on leash, and would make someone an ideal running and hiking companion. Particularly fond of Kongs and indestructible toys, motivated by food and love, and learning to take treats gently, Ethan currently knows “sit,” “no” and “leave it,” and being very bright and eager to please, should prove easy to teach. Crate trained (he sleeps soundly inside it through the night) and diligently at work on his housetraining skills, Ethan’s ideal home is an active one with especially loving adopters who will complete his training, including his commands, and ensure that his enviable energy is satisfyingly expended fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
