My story

  James, at a joyful 7 months and 30 pounds, lives life to the fullest in his foster home. VERY friendly and VERY playful, he looooooves to snuggle and cuddle, give hugs, have his belly rubbed and sleep soundly between his foster parents at night. James also LOVES to dance with his foster mom whenever she starts to boogie, putting his paws on her waist and moving with the beat! Percolating with typical puppy energy, he has an absolute blast romping around the yard with his various doggy foster friends, often sprinting side by side with one of them, both proudly carrying the same toy. Indoors, he keeps the fun going with daily rounds of playful parkour, bouncing off furniture and zipping through rooms with the rest of the crew. He also enjoys going for walks, does fairly well on leash, although he still needs some work, LOVES any and all toys and treats, and although he’s motivated by food, love and toys, James is mainly motivated by life itself. Not fond of his crate, and continuing to work on his housetraining skills, James’s ideal home is a loving and active home, perhaps with a yard and/or a canine companion, that will perfect his puppy manners, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him well exercised fur-ever.  Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $425. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
