My story

To adopt this cat from Black Cat Rescue, please fill out a profile https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston 3 Female Kittens Biscuit, Muffin and Jet are adorable 2-month-old sisters. *Kittens must be adopted in pairs or to homes with another cat-friendly cat.* Here's what their Foster Volunteer has to say about them:   How would you describe the cat's general personality?   Biscuit – cautious but curious about humans, adores scritches, loves to play with her sisters and any possible toy   Muffin – little lovebug with a great big purr, parkour enthusiast, very curious about whatever you’re doing   Jet – independent lady who also wants to fall asleep smushed up against you, mighty hunter of string and sparkleballs.     Does the cat enjoy being pet?   Biscuit – yes, although can be startled if you come in from above her face   Muffin – YES   Jet – yes, and will let you know when she is available, probably by flopping down on her back immediately in front of you.     If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet?   Biscuit – loves ear scritches especially, and full body swoops from ears to tail   Muffin – loves rumples and scritches all along her cheeks and sides, full body pet   Jet – the tummy is often not a lie! Also loves head and cheek scritches     Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched?   Biscuit – not particularly, although the tummy is not for very long   Muffin – same   Jet – same, although the tummy is often for a lot longer.     Does the cat come on your lap?   Biscuit – no, but she would like to be near   Muffin – more and more often, and almost always wants to be near   Jet – no, but she would like to be pressed up against you, especially while she is napping     Does the cat like to be held?   None of the young ladies prefer it, although they permit manicures.     Does the cat sleep in your bed?   More and more often, especially Muffin.     Does the cat seek your attention?   Definitely all three and especially Muffin.     Does the cat like to play?   They LOVE to play.     What are the cat's favorite games and toys?   They all like feathers on a stick and the cat dancer, and hiding and pouncing on each other from behind curtains, crumpled paper, or cardboard. Dangling strings must be attacked soundly, and Jet in particularly LOVES her little sparkleballs.     How vocal is the cat?   They are all pretty quiet, with Jet the most so and Muffin the least so, but they are growing chirpier over time.     What kinds of sounds does the cat make?   Peeps and chirps and adorable squeaks; almost never a meow.     Does the cat scratch a scratcher?   Yes, all three will scratch a scratcher. They will also try and scratch the rug, but can be dissuaded.     Does the cat always use the litter box?   Yes, all three.     What food and frequency is the cat currently eating?   They are all free-feeding Royal Canin Mother and Baby wet and dry food.   Is the cat picky about food?   No, but they haven’t had much opportunity to try anything else.     What is the cat's favorite treat?   They LOVE Churu.     Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances?   All three will gently tell you that pet time is over but will not scratch – maybe just grab your hand with their paws.     Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you?   None of them.     Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you?   They will all open their mouths wide and meaningfully if they are super over stimulated but they do not nip.     Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)?   No.     To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful?   Biscuit is a little shy but curious.   Muffin is quite brave and curious.   Jet is pretty much too cool for all of us, but will come and check you out and decide you’re worthy and then settle right in.   (NB: None of them have met a lot of people because they have not been alive very long, so some of this is still that people are new and they are babies.)     Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions?   Biscuit has a very elaborate stretch routine when she wakes up that is adorable. She is the sweetest little introvert who is blossoming every day, even though her facial markings make her look like she’s worried all the time.   Muffin loves to sleep on squashy pillows so she sinks into them, and has an amazing “you want what from me now?” face. She has taken an active interest in project management, and is quite interested in video calls.   Jet is lethally adorable, and is extremely fond of folding herself into a little potato right in the middle of wherever it is that you are trying to go, or perhaps flinging herself on her back so you can see her beautiful tummy. She also very much likes to sit extremely close to movies and TVs and follow what’s going on.   All three of them think laundry-sorting is AMAZING fun.     In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt?   Biscuit is a little princess who will come to where you are and invite pets, curiously examine what you are doing, and carefully supervise.   Muffin has absolutely piles of love and interest she wants to share, and is soft like a bunny.   Jet is hilarious and ridiculously cute all at once, and will fill up all the space on your camera phone.     What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them?   They’re still little and they’re still learning, and they’re just now discovering a world without their mama – but they uniformly respond to patience and love, and they will reward it every bit with love and delight of their own.   To learn more about adopting this cat in Massachusetts, please visit www.blackcatrescue.com or fill out an Adoption Profile at https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston.  June 3, 2025, 5:50 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Biscuit, Muffin & Jet, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
