My story

Apply to Adopt Me! Sydney is an approx. 2-year-old, 10 1/2-lb. Shih Tzu mix. He is a super cuddle bug who believes your lap is the best place on earth. It takes him a bit of time to open up, but when he does, he is your best friend. At bedtime, he loves to sleep in your bed like he owns it. Chasing tennis balls is his favorite sport with an endless game of fetch. He tolerates baths, but if he hears the water running, he will grumble a bit and run under the bed. Sydney is potty trained (with occasional marking) and will hang out by door when he wants to go out. He gets along with other dogs and all people. He is really good on walks and does not get distracted by other dogs, but he will want to chase the occasional squirrel. During car rides, he likes to look out the window, but he will need a secure tether as he prefers to sit on your lap. He’s never met a treat he didn’t love. He thinks every hour is snack o’clock! Sydney was found as a stray with long matted hair. Although he had to be completely shaved, and his hair is now growing in nicely, he has a few areas that need a little more time to even up with the rest. Sydney would be happiest with a fenced-in yard where he can run and play. He will need regular brushing and grooming.
