My story

My foster writes:Meet Moonlight, our stunning 3-year-old foster cat with a heart as sweet as her name. This velvety black beauty is the ultimate lap cat-always seeking cuddles, head bumps, and your company.Social butterfly? Absolutely. She adores humans and fellow felines. She'll trill her way into your heart (and maybe your snack stash-she loves her food!).If you're looking for a forever shadow with purrs and personality, Moonlight is your girl.A volunteer writes:Pretty Moonlight is trying very hard to get my attention. She is standing at her main door, sitting at her cubby's window or rolling on her balcony's floor, meowing gently and making sure I see her face and pleading eyes...Ok, here I am, sweet girl...Moonlight was surrendered to us as her family was moving to a place not allowing pets. She was owned since kittenhood.  Moonlight is a petite gal, all ebony, sweet as can be, purring , leaning into pets and head bunting throughout our encounter. A feather wand got her attention and she started playing excitingly while still allowing me to pet her(see her video). She did not mind me outfitting her with a bow to enhance her natural beauty. Moonlight is said to be a friendly, playful and outgoing kitty, well mannered too. She was a little stressed when she arrived at the care center, giving a little hiss here and there during her few days with us. It is all history. She is a little lamb now....Moonlight does not belong to a kennel. She would love to meet you and be yours for many years to come. She is healthy and already spayed and could go home today.oonlight meowed sweetly and quickly came out of the den and moved forward at the sound of the treat bag being shaken. She was sweet and friendly, leaning in for cheek rubs, arching her back, and raising her tail. Then, out of the blue, she gave a single hiss and pulled back slightly. After a pause, she engaged slightly and sniffed the treats. She seemed a little unsure and then decided to go back into her den, where she remained with her head poking out.Moonlight interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. We recommend that that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in arousal, or overstimulation. Primary Color: Black Weight: 8.6 Age: 3yrs 1mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Moonlight, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
