My story

From hardship to hope, Liberty’s journey is one of quiet courage and gentle resilience. This sweet 1-year-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix was rescued from a shelter in very rough shape, along with her two sisters. Though her start in life was filled with uncertainty, Liberty has never lost her gentle spirit. She’s a soft-hearted, affectionate little girl who’s learning to trust and love again. Every wag of her tail and soft nuzzle is a reminder of how much love she has to give. Liberty adores other small dogs and would thrive in a home with a kind canine companion—or with a loving human ready to be her safe place. Liberty is house trained and crate trained, and she’s blossoming more each day in her foster home. She needs a family that understands the value of patience, love, and gentle encouragement—a calm environment where she can continue to heal and shine. Because of her tender nature, she’d do best with older children (ages 10+) who can respect her need for a peaceful space. She is an indoor-only girl and requires a safely fenced yard to explore at her own pace. Liberty is not suited for apartments, condos, or mobile homes. Her adoption fee is $400, which includes a thorough vet check, complete blood panel, and fecal testing. Liberty has been through so much, but her heart is open. She’s ready for the next chapter—with someone who sees her not for where she’s been, but for the bright, beautiful soul she is becoming.
