My story

Austin Siamese Rescue offers courtesy listings in an effort to assist cat owners in finding loving, responsible homes for their pets. This cat is not part of our foster program and is not under the direct care of Austin Siamese Rescue.  For further information on this cat, please contact the caretaker directly at  levamokhtari@gmail.com Garfield is a gentle, vocal orange tabby who spent his early life outdoors before finding safety with a kind foster. He’s now looking for a quiet, loving indoor home where he can truly settle in. He’s sweet, affectionate, and loves lounging on couches, cat trees, or by sunny windows. Garfield is very human-friendly and enjoys being petted and cuddled—he’ll even meow (at length!) when he wants attention or food. His activity level is low, and he’s happy relaxing most of the day. Garfield does have FIV, but he's otherwise stable and doesn’t require medication. He’s still healing from some old skin wounds and has a habit of picking at scars, so he needs a patient adopter willing to monitor and continue care during his recovery. While great with people (including children), Garfield is best suited as the only pet, as he can be territorial around other animals—especially when it comes to food and space. He’s litterbox trained, not particularly playful, but might enjoy noisy toys or rolling balls. He’s adjusted well to indoor life, though he occasionally gets a bit stir-crazy after years outside. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate cat with a big personality and a bigger heart, Garfield is ready to love you back tenfold. Austin Siamese Rescue assumes no responsibility for the veracity of the listing or the conduct of the caretaker in the listing. ##2411693##
