Francis

My story

A28122 Francis is a black colored, approximately 1-year-old, 9-pound, neutered male, Domestic Short-Haired cat. He entered the shelter as a stray on 05-27-2025 and was altered by our medical staff. Francis is a friendly, but timid and shy boy here at the shelter. He mostly hides in the back of his kennel. Still unsure of this shelter environment and why he is here. He may hiss at you, but he will come to the front of the kennel for affection and attention once you are talking to him. It is out fear, not him being mean. He was easy to handle and enjoys affection, just a little unsure right now. In the playroom he explored and sniffed everything. But he ultimately liked staying on the cat tree and watching the room. We would recommend a quiet home with older children and a patient owner who will give him time to decompress. Francis will be a loyal, loving companion in his new forever home.
