My story

**Meet Honolulu** Honolulu is a quiet, tender-hearted cat who came to us from another shelter. While a little shy at first, Honolulu truly *lights up with gentle attention* and will quietly seek out your company once they feel safe and comfortable. Though they enjoy affection, Honolulu isn’t one for long cuddle sessions or being held for too long—they prefer love on their own terms and in their own time. For this reason, we recommend a home with older kids who will understand and respect their boundaries and unique personality. Honolulu's foster parent reports he loves to spend time in the window watching what is going on outside as well as playing with his pink snake toy! He will let you know when he is done with petting sessions and wants to go grab his toy or birdwatch. So if you want a guy that enjoys love but can also be independent, look no further!
