My story

Meet Gavin, a lively and spirited shelter dog. His curiosity knows no bounds, always eager to explore his surroundings and sniff out new adventures. His energy is infectious, radiating positivity wherever he goes. Gavin`s jumpy and excitable nature makes him the life of any party. He`s bold and confident, never shying away from a challenge. His strength is not just physical, but mental too, always alert and ready for anything. Gavin weighs 55 pounds can be a little pushy at times, but it`s all in his pursuit of fun and discovery. He`s the perfect companion for anyone seeking an active and engaging pet. Despite his past, Gavin`s resilience is inspiring. Since we don`t know if he is house trained, he may need your help. He`ll need some guidance with leash walking since he is used to always getting his own way. We haven`t seen him interact with children or dogs yet but his initial behavior at the shelter is leading us to require that your bring your dog to meet him and children in the home must be at least 12 years old. Gavin is not just a dog, he`s a friend, a confidante, and a loyal companion. His zest for life is unparalleled, making every day an adventure. Adopt Gavin, and bring home not just a pet, but a bundle of excitable energy that will brighten your life. (tw 5/27/2025)

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gavin, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
