Meet Clyde! He is one handsome chunkamunk good ol’ boy! Clyde is the kind of dog who makes everything feel a little more settled. With his soft eyes and gentle presence, he’s that steady, loving sidekick every family dreams of! He is always eager to please his human and overall he is just a precious guy. I loved my time that I was able to spend with him! We believe Clyde is a lab mix who is about 2 years old! He is approximately 65 pounds of chunky rolls and love! He isn’t shy about a good meal ! Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and we can't make any guarantees. But his lack of dna results pale in comparison to the joy it is to love on all of Clyde’s squishy rolls! Check out this sweet guy in action here! https://youtu.be/5f8M5Zx4gAU He’s currently living peacefully with a group of dogs in his foster home, including a Chihuahua, terrier mix, husky mix, and pittie mix, and has handled all their different energies like a champ. He’s totally fine around playful puppies, though he’s also wise enough to tap out when he's ready for a break. He would do well in a home with medium energy dogs that can respect his need for a chill break. He is also the type of dog that would definitely thrive being a solo pup and have all of the attention on him! When Clyde met our 4 year old Kobe, he was respectful of him and just wanted to make sure that Kobe was comfortable. He let Kobe jump and run and play and he just observed him from a distance. He simply loved the fact that he was being included in Kobe’s fun and didn’t have to join in to still feel like part of the crew. We could definitely see Clyde in a family with children. He may not be the one to run after the ball (maybe he will run for a treat.) But he will definitely be that sound and sure companion that offers all the cuddles and kisses! Clyde and cats definitely could be a possibility! When he met our resident cat Biggie, he just gave him a cautiously curious sniff and then left him alone. He would do well with a dog savvy cat who wouldn’t mind the occasional sniff or two. At home, Clyde is a quiet Netflix-and-chill kind of guy. He’ll lay by your side with a look that says, “You good? I’m good.” He’s crate trained, knows a couple of commands like "sit," and shows an eagerness to please that makes him both lovable and easy to live with. He rides like a pro in the car and adjusts easily to new situations with a trusting, mellow nature. Because of his size and need for a little room to stretch, Clyde would thrive in a home with a yard rather than an apartment. He’s playful but not wild, just a happy, loyal dog looking for a calm, loving family to be part of. I definitely see Clyde thriving as the stereotypical tv sitcom house dog! He will be happy to welcome you home as you return from a day of work or errands. He would be just as happy sitting by your side as you work from home, waiting for you to finish the day’s tasks. He has the kind of heart that will stick close to yours. If you're looking for a sweet, dapper house dog with a soft soul and a heart full of devotion, Clyde just might be your perfect pooch! Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
