My story

*MEET ME AT OUR 6/7 EVENT IN NEEDHAM, MA!*Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with cats: Yes, dog-savvy cats                                                                                                                                                  Good with kids: Yes, dog-savvy children                                                                                                                                            Crate trained: Mostly                                                                                                                                                                          House trained: YesLooking for a loyal adventure buddy? Olaf will not disappoint. This playful, people-loving pup is equal parts silly and sweet—the perfect mix of energy, charm, and cuddles. Olaf may be deaf, but don’t tell him that—he’s too busy living life to the fullest! His hearing impairment hasn’t slowed him down one bit. In fact, he’s the first deaf dog his fosters have ever had, and he’s already completely stolen their hearts. He loves to be outdoors, taking in all the smells and soaking up the sun. And for a puppy, he’s surprisingly laid-back. While he enjoys a bit of rough housing, a good game of tug-of-war, and a chew toy or two, he’s also a professional couch potato who can nap with the best of them—full disclosure: Olaf is a world-renowned snorer and has absolutely no idea! He’s had zero accidents in his current foster’s home and is doing incredibly well with house training. Olaf is still working on his leash skills, but he loves going for walks and is always up for exploring. He’s very observant and sweet, and he often follows his people around the house to see what they’re up to. He already knows how to sit for a treat, and if you tap to get his attention, he’ll follow your finger to another room or outside—an incredibly helpful skill for a deaf dog. Olaf would thrive in a home with another playful pup, dog-savvy kids, or an individual or couple ready to help him keep blossoming. He’s previously lived with a dog-savvy cat and enjoyed their playtime together. This boy has a whole lot of love to give—and once he bonds with you, it’s forever. Olaf is still a puppy and still learning. He thrives on connection and consistency, and would do best with a family who can provide structure, ongoing training, and a whole lot of love. He’s crated for a couple of hours during the day and responds to hand signals like a pro—he’ll sit with a stop-sign hand and is learning to potty on cue.Ready to fall in love with a one-of-a-kind pup? Olaf’s waiting to steal your heart (and probably your spot on the couch). Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
