My story

This handsome two-year-old, 80-pound boy was recently adopted, but through no fault of his own, he's back with us. His adopter’s change in work schedule and frequent travel just didn’t leave enough time for the active, playful life Dexter loves — and deserves. But don’t worry, Dexter is still the same sweet, ball-chasing, pond-splashing, people-loving pup everyone fell in love with! He is house-trained, crate-trained, vaccinated, neutered, and full of charm. Dexter adores kids, enjoys the company of other dogs (though he’s usually more focused on his beloved tennis ball), and walks beautifully on a leash. He’s also been around cats and done just fine! Dexter is a smart pup who’s very food-motivated, making training a breeze. He’s well-mannered and super affectionate — the kind of dog who wants to be near his people, whether that’s curled up in bed or joining you for a ride in the car. Dexter would love an active family who can keep up with his playful spirit and give him all the love, exercise, and fetch sessions his heart desires.
