My story

This big-hearted pup is full of brains, quirky charm, and a soft spot for ‘ohana, because to him, family means no one gets left behind. Jumba is looking for his forever home where he can trade in his mad scientist past for belly rubs, beach days, and snuggles on the couch. If you`re ready for a little cosmic chaos and a whole lot of love, Jumba is your perfect match! I’m dreaming of finding my own quiet little “ohana”, a home where I can feel safe, loved, and slowly build up my confidence. Like Lilo says, “Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” I can’t wait to find mine!IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:48 pounds and growingHOME TYPE:House type home - No apartments as he can be vocal.CHILDREN:Yes - Older children as he can be shy and timidCATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introductionOTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatible with slow proper introductionACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:First time dog owner possibleTRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:Three in-person training sessions required to work on socialization, basic training, manners (jumpy/mouthy), touch sensitivity, sound sensitivity, and separation anxiety.HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:He is very human social once comfortable with someone newFAVOURITE THINGS:Getting all the love from people he is comfortable with and rolling around in the grass.**For more information on any behaviours stated above, please check out our behaviour fact sheet: https://kwsphumane.ca/BehavioursandDefinitions**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets.
