Meet Dusty, a sweet 1-year-old boy with a gentle heart and a world of potential! Found as a stray, Dusty is still adjusting to the hustle and bustle of the shelter, and he can be a little reserved at first—but with a little patience and kindness, his bright, loving personality begins to shine through. He’s also treat-motivated and eager to connect, making him a great candidate for continued training and bonding with his future family. This special pup would thrive in a home that can help channel his enthusiasm and guide him as he continues to grow into the best boy ever. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet him!Dusty was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Dusty is an energetic boy who was ready to go! He was shy at first but opened up after a car ride and some chicken nuggets. We also went on a walk where he was was pretty excited, but responded well to a few redirections. He is very loving and after he warmed up to me, he was happy to roll around in the grass and get all belly rubs and pets. Overall Dusty was very fun and loving boy!`On another day out, `I had the pleasure of hanging out with Dusty for our dog day out. Dusty was very calm and polite in the car. We hung out in the neighborhood playing outside, going on lots of small walks, and relaxing inside. When he was inside he was very curious, but didn’t get into things. He was calm on walks when passing dogs on the opposite side of the street. He tried apples and frozen blueberries. He thought frozen blueberries were delicious! It took some exercise and opportunities to play but Dusty did eventually lay down and took a nap. Dusty is big sweetheart that is full of energy! He loves to play.`Dusty is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
