My story

Sentinel, a definite working dog prospect. His owner has to rehome him due to an older male in the home not doing well with him. Here is what she says: Goofy, sweet, smart -Sits, stays, downs, paw, heel, leave it, focus, start of spin, uppies (when he was a puppy he would run at you full speed and catapult himself so we turned it into a trick to only do on command, jumps into arms, goes potty when asked on a leash before entering a store. -Gets into anything that "smells good", trash, food, he will chug water, and i have to make him slow down or stop him, I use a slow feeder or only do a little water at a time. Otherwise, he will have accidents. -A working home or a family that is active is definitely a must. He is not a "couch dog", and willing to continue working with him, I definitely think he would excel as SAR, scent training, hunting/finding, service work, depending. He is an energetic, lovable boy. I think he may have a chicken allergy but I am not 100% sure. His name is based on Transformers. He is fine with horses, cats, and chickens, and other dogs. Older kids because he is super energetic, I could see small children possibly getting knocked over or him being too much. He LOVES to carry around his toys and show them to you his whole body wagging not just his tail. Sentinel is not neutered, but we will reimburse the adopter $150 towards his neutering, which is included in his adoption fee. For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care and training which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and training needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sentinel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
