My story

Meet Clyde the Glide – The Coolest Dog You’ll Ever Know   Looking for a dog that’s the total package? Let us introduce you to Clyde the Glide – a one-year-old black Lab with a heart of gold, a chill vibe, and a tail that never stops wagging. At 55 pounds of pure love and loyalty, Clyde is everything you could want in a four-legged best friend… and more!  Don’t let his smooth, easygoing style fool you — this guy has overcome a lot. Clyde spent his first year tied up in a backyard with barely any attention, but you’d never know it. Since coming into rescue from a Kentucky shelter (where, by the way, he was the staff favorite), he’s shown us just how resilient and lovable he truly is.  Clyde is a social butterfly — he fits in instantly wherever he goes. Kids? Loves them. Chihuahuas? No problem. Great Danes? Yep, he’s cool with them too. He’s polite, gentle, and super friendly with people and pups alike. He even rides nicely in the car and walks like a pro on leash. He's fully housebroken, not a chewer, and doesn't jump up on people. In other words: his manners are already top-tier. He’s past the puppy chaos, but still young and playful with a ton of love to give.    A quick heads-up: Clyde has shown a little interest in chasing cars in the past, so he’ll need someone who can keep a close eye on him during walks or has a fenced-in yard for safe playtime.  Cats? He's generally okay with them, though he might bark a bit from the crate if they’re teasing him on the outside. We think he just wants to be part of all the action. Clyde is fully grown and ready to glide straight into your heart and home. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard or regular trips to a dog park to stretch those legs and get his zoomies on. His spirit is gentle, joyful, and genuinely special — this boy is ready to bring light, love, and laughter into a lucky family’s life.    Ready to bring Clyde the Glide home? Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com — don’t wait! This boy is too good to miss.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 25, 2025, 8:57 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt CLYDE THE GLIDE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
