My story

Apply to Adopt Me! Kiwi is a sweet female chihuahua who is 9 pounds of cuteness. Kiwi is 13 years old. Kiwi never leaves food in her bowl and will steal anyone’s food. She is housebroken and pee-pad trained. (She will not go out while it’s raining so a pee-pad is a great tool.) Kiwi is shy but occasionally will have the courage to jump into her foster mom’s lap and give a bunch of kisses. She was from a house with 9 other dogs so she would relish receiving individual attention. Kiwi needs time to feel comfortable in her new home and probably would thrive in a home with less pets. She prefers to sleep in her bed at night instead of sleeping with her person. However, during a storm she wants to be with her person. When she senses a storm is on the way, she will find her foster mom, sitting with one paw up asking to be picked up. She sits with one paw up when she wants food also. Cuteness overload!! She walks well on a leash, loves hanging out in the backyard in the sun, sniffing everything in the yard, and chasing lizards. After a week, Kiwi learned that the cat is not to be chased. We are hoping for a fenced outside space for her, as well as a calm, all-adult home.
