My story

****THESE 3 PUPPIES ARE LOCATED IN WINDSOR LOCKS, CT AND MUST BE MET AROUND THAT LOCATION**** There are 2 males and 1 female (all under 7.5 lbs) – Estimated age as of 5/24/25 is 12 weeks old. We do not believe the female will get over 11 lbs and the males will not get over 14-15 lbs max. The foster that has them has said this about them: They are coming out of their shell and learning how to play with toys and each other. They are playful now. They are learning to love their children who are young. The children are very gentle though, so any children must be very gentle with them and understanding of how tiny they are. It doesn’t seem like the 2 with longer hair shed (Birria and Tamale) - so they could be considered hypoallergenic. They are house trained and pad trained if inside too long. Pictures do not do these babies justice – they are so small! Nacho – 7.5 lbs Male Black/tan Short hair Very playful, protective of his people but not aggressive (the foster has 2 young children and he does great with them!), silly/goofy, loves to run around the house and yard squeaking his toys. Squeaking his toys and doing zoomies are his 2 favorite activities. He is a big cuddler and loves time with his foster humans on the couch, on their laps or in their arms. Barria – 5.5 lbs Male Tri Color Wirehair Hypoallergenic He is a bit shyer than the other 2 but is coming around quickly – Loves to play outside and sunbathe. Loves his tug-o-war toys and the fosters 2 children. Very loving boy. Learning that being held is amazing. A more quiet/medium active household would be perfect for Birria. Tamale – 4.5 lbs Female Tri Color Wirehair hypoallergenic Very small and very sweet. Loves to be held by her foster humans. Loves lots of snuggles and cuddles. Could be a purse dog. While she does love to cuddle, she loves her play time outside and inside. Would prefer humans over anything else. All 3 dogs love children, love other dogs and get along great with cats (They are smaller than the average cat!) General information: Available for adoption is our delicious Mexican dish puppies! These sweet babies are about 12 weeks old and are the gentlest furbabies. Nacho, Tamale, Fajita and Birria are ready to find their forever homes. They have not had an easy life. They grew up under a house on the Texas/Mexico border in a small town called Pharr, Texas, where they had no human interaction. The owners of the home wanted nothing to do with them. A good Samaritan had seen them and offered to help. Over the course of a few days, they were able to get all 4 puppies to safety and in a foster. When you baby talk them or talk sweet to them, they wag their tails and want to trust you, but they just don’t know how yet. They are very gentle babies but also very entertaining. If you think you have the perfect home for one of these babies, please consider applying to adopt – You can fill out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org They are current on vaccinations, dewormed, current on flea/heartworm/tick meds, microchipped and will have a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Birria, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
