My story

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Arong Around 3 yrs old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: To be examined and scheduled Breed: Maltese poodle mix Colour: White Weight: 4kg / 9lbs   MY RESCUE STORY Hi, I’m Arong — a lucky pup who was rescued just in time from a city pound before facing euthanasia. My past was tough. I was abandoned in a bag, left behind like I didn’t matter. When I was found, I had painful skin infections, and my nails were so long it seemed like I had never been walked or cared for. Despite it all, I’ve held onto my sweet spirit. Funny enough, if I see a bag now, I still like to hop into it.   MY HEALTH - Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) - In good health, with no known medical issues   MY PERSONALITY I may be a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you — I warm up quickly with a gentle approach and a little patience. Offer me a treat, and I’ll happily take it from your hand, slowly letting my guard down as I begin to trust you. Before long, I’ll be leaning in for pets and enjoying your company like we’ve been friends forever. I have a soft, affectionate nature and a calm energy that makes me easy to be around. Once I feel safe, I’ll show you my sweet, loyal side — the one that’s just waiting for a place (and a person) to call home.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS - With People:  Offer me a treat, and I’ll become your friend in no time! You can easily pick me up — I may be a little shy at first, but I form bonds quickly with kind-hearted people. Once I feel that gentle connection, I’ll stick by your side and share all my sweet sides with you.   - With Dogs: I enjoy meeting new dog friends and will greet them politely, but I’m generally a bit indifferent and tend to keep to myself.   - With Cats:  I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet, but I’m friendly by nature and believe I could learn to welcome them into my family — especially with slow, gentle introductions and plenty of patience.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I enjoy exploring outside, soaking up all the sights and scents, but I also appreciate relaxing quietly when I’m back home. I like having a good mix of adventure and calm in my day.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well in quiet, calm areas, but cars can startle me a bit. With gentle guidance and patience, I’m learning to build confidence for walks in busier, noisier places. I don’t guard my food from people, but I can be a little protective around other dogs during mealtime and may growl to keep my space. Sometimes, I’ll give an attention bark to let you know I’m here. I’m comfortable resting quietly in my kennel and am both indoor and outdoor potty trained.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help guide and let me become my best self. I’ll thrive in a home with: - A family who can provide me with a calm, structured, and safe environment. - A family who understands that I can be protective of my food around other dogs, and is willing to use positive reinforcement to gently guide me toward feeling more relaxed and patient during mealtimes. - A family who likes to do outdoors activities and spend time together.   SPECIAL NOTES When I was rescued, I was in a really rough place — malnourished and struggling with skin infections. Despite everything, I’ve always loved people and soaking up attention. Because of my past neglect, I’m a bit obsessed with food and feel safest when I can eat quickly and keep my meals to myself, especially around other dogs. The staff and volunteers think I might have faced hunger more times than I can count, which is why food means so much to me. But beneath it all, I have the sweetest heart, and my adorable, lovable nature will surely melt your heart once you get to know me.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! Arong’s Playlist ##2410249##
