My story
Meet **Vera**, a beautiful 9-year-old cat who came to us after her beloved owner passed away. Vera is a gentle soul with a shy nature, so she’ll need a little time to feel safe in her new home. But once she’s comfortable, she’ll reward you with her sweet and affectionate personality. Vera has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but don’t let that scare you! With proper care and an indoor lifestyle, cats with FIV often enjoy lifespans similar to those of uninfected cats. We recommend regular annual vet exams and prompt attention to any health concerns. FIV is mainly spread through blood transfer, and studies show that FIV-positive and FIV-negative cats living together peacefully pose little risk to each other. Vera is ready to find her forever home!
