My story

Hi my name is Parker Roy but my foster parents call me Parker. I am a yellow male, 3 years old and weight 68lbs. I have a gorgeous honey-colored coat and big brown eyes. My previous owner did not have enough time for me so he turned me over to SCLRR. My foster mom says I adore people and thrive on attention. I'm a sweet, playful boy with a big heart, full of snuggles and love. I'm the kind of dog that's impossible to resist, and I'm looking for my forever family! I am in love with my foster dad. I follow him around everywhere he goes. When he is sitting, I love to put my head in his lap and he gives the best pets that I fall asleep. I also like to hang with my foster mom and like to cuddle with her when we watch TV. I just love to take walks. I love to smell and explore everything and when I see a dog I want so badly to meet them, I get a little too excited. I am working with a trainer on how to calm down when I see a dog. It is just so fun to see the dogs in the neighborhood I just want to meet them all. I do pull and my foster parents are working on my leash skills. I will need to continue training on my leash skills. I do have lots of energy so I will need an active family. I get along great with my foster dog sister. We play in the morning while mom and dad are drinking their coffee. I really know my boundaries when my foster sister is done or if I am a little to playful, she will let me know and I stop. After playtime, it is time for breakfast. I am not aggressive with my food but my mom and dad separate us so we can eat at our leisure. I am just starting to like stuffed toys and chew on bones. I don't play fetch yet. I already know commands like sit, and of course-my name! I am working on wait and focus I am eager to learn and want to please you. I am house trained and use the doggy door and I'm not destructive. My foster parents have left me alone in the house and I have been a very good boy. My new family should keep helping me understand what's okay and what's not, so I can keep becoming the best version of myself. I think my ideal home would be one with an active individual, couple, or family with a secure yard and someone home most of the time. I need a family that will have time to continue in my training. I like to be with people and would be happy in a home with children over the age of eight. I love to play with other dogs, and a home with another dog would provide companionship. I have so much love to give, and I cannot wait to find a family to share it with. If I sound like a good match, reach out to your family rep-or sign up to be an approved adopter. If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative. If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Parker Roy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
