My story

Meet Gibbs! 🐾 Gibbs is a 1.5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. This gentle giant came into Paws Humane Society on May 20, 2025, after being found as a stray. While his past is a mystery, one thing is clear—Gibbs is ready to write a new chapter with a loving, patient family by his side. Though initially shy around new people, Gibbs reveals his sweet, loyal nature once he feels safe. He’s sensitive to loud sounds and busy environments, so a calm, quiet home would be ideal. Gibbs walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys stretching his legs with a good run—especially if there’s something to herd or chase! Just don’t expect him to bring the ball back—fetch still isn’t really his thing. Playtime is still a bit of a puzzle to him, but he’s learning. With consistent, positive training and plenty of encouragement, Gibbs is sure to gain the confidence he needs to thrive.
