My story

Meet Trooper – A True Survivor with a Heart of GoldTrooper is a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix who earned his name after surviving alone in the mountains. When rescued, he was near starvation—but today, he's a healthy, happy 43-pound pup with a whole lot of love to give.This sweet, snuggly boy is crate trained, house trained (including dog door use), and quiet in the home. He loves walks, snuggling with his people, and playing with toys—especially balls, ropes, and sticks! Trooper is chill and relaxed indoors but always up for adventure when you are. He doesnt need a lot of exercise, although he is ready to go if you are. He walks well on leash but is strong and may pull if something excites him (like bikes or squirrels). He gets along with other dogs, does okay with confident cats and chickens, and is great with people—though older kids are best due to his strength. Trooper is currently on medication for mild seizures, which are well managed, and he may eventually wean off them as he continues to regain his health. He’s affectionate, easy-going, and incredibly resilient.
