My story

I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi, my name is Lexi. I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Lexi is the sweetest dog you’ll meet! She’s very calm, loves to cuddle. She’s been great when left alone in a safe room, she didn’t love her crate, but tolerated it ok. She’s mostly house trained, has had a few accidents in the house. I’d advise no cats as she’s chased my neighbors cats out of my backyard several times, has been good with slow intros with other dogs. She takes her medications well in pill pockets. From the Vet: Lexi came into rescue with a previous hip injury. When she came to the TBB Vet Center to be evaluated it was determined that she does need an orthopedic repair surgery called an FHO or Femoral Head Osteotomy. It is recommended that Lexi stay relatively calm for around 8-12 weeks post operatively. She will also be spayed on the date of that surgery so her future adopter should be comfortable with the activity restriction and TLC that she will need in her first few weeks in her new home. This surgery does not generally require any recheck appointment or radiographs, but TBB would agree to cover 1 post op tech appointment for suture removal around 10-14 days after her surgery. We hope she meets and falls in love with her person so we can secure a soft place for her to land and recover!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lexi D65093, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
