My story

At 7 months old, Cady (Cadence) is still figuring out the world. She’s a one-of-a-kind blend of Canaan Dog and Labrador Retriever, which means she’s equal parts mystery, cuddle bug, and Olympic-level toy destroyer. Shy at first (she’s working on her trust issues with vacuums, towels, and men in hats) this girl has a PhD in giving kisses and a black belt in hiding behind your legs until she’s sure the mailman isn’t a threat. But give her a little time, and she’ll warm up faster than a burrito in a microwave. Her hobbies include: • Gently booping you with her nose to say “I love you” • Carrying her favorite toy around like it’s a briefcase and she has a very important meeting • wrestling with her foster brother at random o’clock • Expert-level snuggling She’s looking for a patient family (may do well with older kids, loves other dogs and is kind to the cat!) who’ll let her come out of her shell at her own pace—and then laugh at her goofy, lovable antics forever.
