My story

Pete is an affectionate, loyal young dog with lots of pep in his step. He loves to nap between adventuring and sleeps beautifully through the night. His favorite activities include: playing fiercely with rope & squeaky chew toys, basking outdoors, meeting new friends on walks, watching cars, and laying near (preferably on) his humans.Pete would thrive in a home with humans without long absences and potentially a dog companion to play and learn with. He is wonderful with kids, but older children who can help redirect and train him are recommended.Pete is recovering well from a prior injury to his leg. In his foster home, a puppy stroller helped him for longer adventures. He may need assistance with anything requiring a jump but has transitioned into comfortably wrestling with playmates here in shelter. His injury prevented him starting potty training, but he is learning now. He learns quickly and seems to be a little bit of a genius. Pete has it all: charm, looks, intelligence, and most of all, a ton of love.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pete, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
