My story

Hi, I’m Rizzo—and if you’ve ever met a “girls’ girl,” you’re about to meet a cats’ cat! I’m a sweet, elegant lady who absolutely loves other cats. They’re my people… well, my cats.With humans, I like to take things slow. Keep things calm, offer me a treat or some playtime, and I’ll soon open right up. I’m not a big fan of being picked up, but I show my affection in my own way—by rubbing against your legs or sitting quietly at your feet during those peaceful moments. Mealtime is when you’ll hear my signature purr-chirp combination (it’s pretty adorable, if I do say so myself).I can be a little shy with sudden movements and loud noises, so I’ll do best in a quiet home without children. I may hide at first, but a feather toy or snack will coax me out in no time. Once the game is on, I’m fearless and lightning fast—whether I’m hunting my favorite window-mounted feather toy or climbing all the way up the tallest cat tree.If you have a cat who’s missing a friend, or you just want to add some quiet sweetness and extra cuteness to your home, I’d love to be your girl.My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
