My story

Maybelle "Momma Kitty" Hi, I’m Maybelle but around here, everyone calls me Momma Kitty. I showed up in a backyard in February, thin as a twig and pregnant, crying until someone noticed me through the fence. I was taken in with a lot of love and got a TNR appointment through Kitty Bungalow (with Pasadena Humane). I was spayed and vaccinated on February 28, 2025. That day changed everything for me. Since then, I’ve been treated for worms and fleas, and slowly but surely, I’ve filled out and found my voice, and my appetite! (I may have tried to eat my weight in Meow Mix for a while, but who could blame me?) I’m now a healthy, sassy tortie lady with a heart full of gratitude. I rub against your legs for attention, I love a good cuddle and nap on the couch, and while I’m not the biggest fan of being picked up, I can tolerate it. I’m always close by. I get along well with most dogs and kids and use the litter box like a pro. I like being in the backyard, but I don’t roam. I stay close to the house, where things feel safe and familiar. I would love to go inside and have tried multiple times. Eloise Hi there, I’m Eloise. I came along a couple of weeks after my sister in mid-March — calling out until someone brought me to safety. And there she was. Maybelle. My sister, waiting for me. I was spayed and vaccinated through Kitty Bungalow on March 28, 2025, and like my sister, I’ve been dewormed, treated for fleas, and loved on while I healed. I spent my recovery inside, and I missed her so much that I meowed until they brought her in too. Ever since, we’ve been together again, but now back in the backyard since the human already had 3 cats of her own. I’m a petite, all-black girl with a gentle nature. I love being carried. I’ll press into your arms, purring away, completely content. I like rubbing on legs, following you from room to room, and settling into any soft spot you’ll share with me. I’m calm, affectionate, and get along beautifully with kind dogs and kids. I'm neat, clean, and quiet in the house and I’m full of love. The Girls Both girls are around a year old and incredibly bonded. They nap side by side, look for each other when one’s out of view, and bring each other peace. They’ve enjoyed safe backyard time but always stay close to home. What they really want now is an indoor space where they can stay safe, stay together, and start the rest of their lives with someone who sees how special they are.   The girls are being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet these cats or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsMay 22, 2025, 5:22 pm
