My story

Hi! My name is Onyx and I’m at the Santa Barbara Campus. I’m a 1.5 year old male Mixed breed who is eager for a new home! I'm a very sweet and incredibly active fella; I lived with a family but my previous pawrent unfortunately had to go through unforeseen circumstances and they were no longer able to take care of me. In my previous home, I was good with kids, cats, and other dogs (big and small). I've even played with another dog in my time here and we got along great! I still have lots of puppy energy though and need someone who can dedicate a portion of their time training me; as I need a considerable amount of physical and mental enrichment. I'm crate trained, house trained, and very toy motivated. In fact, I LOVE fetch. I DREAM about fetch. I'll bring you my toy a thousand times if you throw it for me a thousand times. If you're someone who wants a buddy to take on long walks, hikes, or runs and is an overall good boy, I'm your guy! Interested in meeting me? When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
