My story

Meet this sweet girl Rocksy! This outgoing and social girl is a friendly and gentle soul with a tender heart. She has never met a stranger. She enjoys being petted and making new friends. Her previous owner said she is good with kids of all ages, strangers, going to the vet, and car rides. She is really smart and knows the commands, `sit,` `down,` `come,` and `shake.` If you have a resident pup at home, bring them to the shelter for a meet to ensure compatibility! She is friendly with other dogs but may appreciate a mature adult companion-a young, rambunctious puppy may be too much for her. That being said, she`s still got lots of energy for an older girl! If you`re seeking a loyal, playful, and sweet pup to be a loving companion, Rocksy is your girl!Rocksy is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take her home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
