Rye

My story

Rye Male DSH orange tabby and white Estimated age: 1 year Rye is a very sweet boy who enjoys being pet. He gets along with other cats and is hesistant around dogs. He is young, playful, and loves sleeping with you at night. His absolute FAVORITE thing to do is bury himself under blankets while sleeping next to you. He is such a cuddle bug. Rye was left outside when his owner moved away at the end of last year. One of the neighbors starting taking care of Rye and the other cat that was left behind and feeding them to the best of their ability. They opened up their little shed so they could use it for shelter during the winter. While the caretaker was riding their bike one day, they rode past a vaccine/microchip clinic that was being held a block over from them by a local pet food pantry. He stopped and explained the situation which is when one of Fig and Friends' fosters who was there volunteered to help. She went over to his house and was able to take both Rye and the other cat that this kind person had been caring for. Rye has sunburn in front of his ears from being outside that is thankfully healing. Location: Rye is currently in foster Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age approriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption.
