My story

**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you`re interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-PetShadow is a stunning 2-year-old Alaskan Husky with a gentle heart. True to her name, she’ll quietly follow your lead, staying close once she feels safe and connected. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and thrives on companionship—whether it’s with her people or her fellow canines.Having lived with other dogs, Shadow does wonderfully in a multi-dog home and enjoys the company of friendly pups. She`s social in a respectful, low-key way and could be a great fit as a second dog or in a pack setting. Her easygoing nature makes her a pleasure to be around, especially for someone looking for a sweet, well-mannered adult dog past the puppy stage.Shadow is still working on building confidence in new environments, so a calm, patient home will help her continue to come out of her shell. She’ll benefit from continued training, regular exercise, and plenty of gentle encouragement.Whether you’re a solo adventurer, a couple, or a family with another dog or two, Shadow could be your perfect match. She’s ready to settle into a home where she can feel safe, loved, and truly at home.If you’re looking for a loyal friend with a quiet spark, come meet Shadow—she might just be the missing piece in your pack.Wandering Rover Report: Shadow was perfectly calm throughout the trip but seemed a little anxious in the car (panting more than usual but stopped after getting out.) Shadow is the ultimate cuddle bug who loves gentle affection from humans! During her day out wandering, she sniffed just about everything she could and maintained a polite demeanor while doing so. Shadow doesn’t seem overly treat motivated, but she still took some snacks VERY gently. We went on a walk around two different parks where Shadow passed by dogs, children, bikes, scooters, and skateboards with any problem! When we sat down to eat at Scuttlebutt Brewery, with multiple dogs sitting around us, she politely sat down without at fuss smooshing her fluffy body against us. If you want the sweetest cuddle bug in your life, ADOPT SHADOW!!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Shadow, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
