Freeway (DASH)

My story

This precious boy was picked up on the side of I-75. A sweet lady was doing 70 mph in the right lane when she spotted what looked like a dog with a red harness in the ditch. She quickly pulled over and carefully backed up. He initially dashed away from her, but then she was able to get him to her car. We have no idea where he came from. We searched social media for a couple of weeks in case somebody had had an accident and lost him but no luck. We call him Freeway, but his foster mom and hero calls him Dash. He is just a really good boy, loving people, other dogs, and is respectful of the mean kitty. He is house trained and loves to snuggle. He has definitely been through some sort of ordeal and we would love to get him in a quiet, safe home where he can be cherished. The vets think he’s about three years old. We will be getting him a dental when he gets neutered in the next week or so and then he will be ready for his new home. He is up-to-date on his vaccines and his heartworm tested negative. He’s a great size at 18 pounds. Dash would make a really wonderful companion for anyone. We think older children would be best for him.
