My story

Cash is a male beagle mix with a hint of pug in his face but something else gave him his medium size. He is 3.5 years old and he weighs about 53 pounds. Cash is neutered and vaccinated including rabies. He is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive. Cash is ready for adoption. Cash (along with his friend/sister June) were surrendered together because their owner can no longer care for them. Cash has been very well cared for since puppyhood and a full record of his vetting will be provided. Cash is dog, cat and people friendly. He likes small dogs in fact he thinks he is a small dog. Cash is a big baby. He is potty trained and crate trained. He also knows how to walk on a leash but if he knows the walk to something he doesn’t want (into the vet for example) he will crocodile roll so some re-training could be useful with this. Cash is not a fan of getting his nails cut either. However he is otherwise a cooperative and loving guy. Cash loves to play with little dog friends, flirting and wiggling to meet new friends. He loves his chew toys and especially his naps. He is everyone’s favorite cuddle friend. Cash would be happiest in a home with at least one canine or feline friend. He would also benefit from a fenced yard for play and potty time. Cash has been a little spoiled but he also wants to please his person. Cash and June can be adopted together which will result in a $25 discount off of each adoption fee. Adoption fee for Cash is $150 (June’s is $275). Jeff Tarpley Rescue welcomes applications from homeowners, renters, and condo or apartment dwellers. At a minimum, a phone interview will be conducted and a vet reference checked before the applicant may meet their preferred pet. We adopt primarily in the 4 states of the ArkLaTexOma. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.
