My story

My shelter name is Pearl!This pet was brought in by a community member on 5/3/25. Pearl is a resilient and affectionate dog seeking a dedicated adopter to help her thrive. She recently underwent amputation of her left front leg (5/20/25) due to irreversible nerve damage. She's currently healing and must be kept calm and rested through 6/3/25, with no rough play, off-leash activity, or bathing. An E-collar should be used to protect the surgical site, and sutures will need removal on 6/3/25. Behaviorally, Pearl benefits from structure and enrichment. She's shown social behavior with staff but can be a little stressed in unfamiliar situations like stairs, elevators, or car rides. Pearl has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered.
