Tater Tot

My story

Tater Tot is an adorable male Heeler/cattle dog mix. He was being given away as a free puppy outside at a local pet store due to family allergies. In true SAAP nature, we stepped in to rescue the puppy to ensure it did not inadvertently become a bait dog. He was born on February 20, 2025. As of May 19, he is about 10 pounds. So, we are estimating that he will be 45-50 pounds when full grown. He is in his puppy era meaning he is not potty trained or leash trained. We are introducing crate training. He has typical puppy energy and in his chewing/teething stage. Please be sure to do your research on Cattle dogs as they are super smart but also crave activity as they were bred to be working dogs. So basic obedience training should be considered and he would do best with an active family! Tater Tot is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.
