My story

Meet Mitsy!This sweet senior girl is looking for a soft place to land after losing the only home she’s ever known. Mitsy’s owner passed away, and sadly no one in the family was able to take her in. At about 10 years old and 18 pounds, Mitsy is shy, scared, and understandably confused in the rescue environment.She’s gentle, house trained, and very well behaved—just a quiet soul who wants to feel safe and loved again. Mitsy enjoys the company of other calm dogs but would be happiest snuggled up next to you. She’s looking for a peaceful home where she can relax, decompress, and be someone’s loyal little shadow.Mitsy may need a little time to come out of her shell, but once she trusts you, her sweet heart will shine through. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
