My story

Hi! I’m Lucky! Right now, I’m napping because my foster mom made me walk around the whole block. Can you believe it? So many things to sniff! I was very busy with my nose to the ground—sniff, sniff, sniff… oh, what`s that? Another sniff!But the best part of the walk wasn’t the smells (though they were pretty great). The best part was meeting a very kind old man in a golf cart. He stopped and asked my name. Turns out, it’s Lucky! Honestly, I thought that was more of a boy-dog name, but I’m starting to think it fits me just fine—especially if it means good things keep happening.Anyway, back to the man and his amazing golf cart. I knew right away he was a good human. I walked right up and climbed onto his cart like, `Alright, let`s ride!` He gave me a nice pat on the head, which I loved. I really, really wanted to cruise around with him, but apparently, that’s not something I get to do... yet. Maybe next time.I’m hopeful there’s another kind soul (maybe even with a golf cart?) out there just waiting for a dog like me to hop in and ride through life with them.Until then, I’ll be napping and dreaming of adventures.My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
