My story

Trixie is a 6 1/2 yr old Yorkie weighing 9 pounds. She was surrendered to a County Animal Control facility after her family bought a Yorkie puppy, and Trixie did not appreciate the addition to the family she had known as her own and as an  only child since she was a puppy. On arrival she was very anxious and displaced, however she settled in and quickly grasped our routine. She learned to sleep and eat in a kennel . She loves roaming the yard and any gardening to be done she wants to be right in the middle helping. She also is excellent at announcing any squirrels or walkers passing nearby. In the house she is generally quiet unless startled by that loud school bus or annoying garbage truck. With frequent accompanied trips outside she definitely knows where to potty but if left too long she may use a pee pad or find a favorite secret place to show her displeasure at your inattention. Yes she is 100% Yorkie as she barks some and she can be tricky with her housebreaking. Trixie is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $350 If you can’t wait to have your very own gorgeous Yorkie, go to our website shown below and put in an application .  —apply to meet Trixie today at poquitapawsrescue.org or submit an application.ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
