Waldon is the kind of dog who makes you stop and say, “Wow, what a guy.” At 13 years old and with limited use of his back legs, he somehow survived out on his own as a stray. It’s like he knew there was something better waiting for him, and he just had to keep going until he found it.Waldon is a senior pup, weighing about 23 pounds, and he has IVDD that affects his hind legs. He can still take a few steps, especially when he’s on grass or carpet, and for now he doesn’t need a wheelchair, but he may benefit from one in the future. He’s also able to go potty on his own, though that may change over time too. But right now? He’s comfortable, content, and finding his own rhythm in the world. This guy is pure heart. He’s confident, affectionate, and incredibly gentle. He loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and is happiest when he’s curled up next to someone, soaking in the snuggles. His sweet teddy-bear face is just the icing on the cake and wait until you see how he lights up when he’s around someone he loves!Waldon doesn’t ask for much. Just a soft place to rest, a hand to pet him, and someone who sees the incredible dog he is. He’d do best in a calm home with someone who’s not gone long hours and ideally has experience with senior or special needs pups. He may move a little slower these days, but Waldon has so much love to give and he’s ready to share it with someone who’ll cherish him right back! Interested in this special guy? Please inquire today!
