Just like the delicious dessert, our Mousse is a truly sweet guy – a dashing, robust, caramel-colored mixed breed who`s ready for his second chance at a forever home. Mousse was originally found as a stray in May 2025 by a family who took him in. They fed and watered him, and for about a month, he had a place to stay.However, Mousse lived outside, and his new family quickly realized that his barking, jumpy, and mouthy behaviors, combined with his energetic nature and his tendency to jump out of the yard, were simply too much for them to take on and did have the time to work with him.After returning to the shelter, Mousse found a foster-to-adopt home in June, where he spent a little over a week. This short stay taught us a lot about this big, lovable guy. We learned that while Mousse is incredibly people-friendly, he does have resource guarding issues with his food and space from other dogs, which led to multiple altercations in the home.Mousse is looking for a home where he can truly be the center of attention, a place where he doesn`t have to worry about guarding his food or personal space from other canine companions.
